USB Image Tool 1.66 (updated)
This version fixes the mandatory verify in the command line tool, which now correctly interprets the command line switch /v.
Update: Seems that the download link still pointed to the wrong version (1.65). This should be fixed now.

The link to the 1.66 version is broken. It still downloads the previous 1.65.
Fix it please.
Thanks. Hugo

I can’t believe I finally managed to download version 1.66- I tried at least 6 times and it was always 1.65 ๐
Thanks, Alexander!

@smaragdus, Martin: Sorry, I messed it up. Didn’t notice I was replacing the wrong download file twice. Need to double-check by downloading myself the next time…

This tool is GREAT, but two IMPORTANT THING is missing!
It doesn’t Truncate size of image.
For example, if I make an image of a 4GB usb drive, and there is 1GB of data on it…..the image will be 4GB in size!!
And then If I try to put this image, on a 2GB usb Key….despite the fact there is only 1GB of data, the restoring function will fail, so it doesn’t “adapt” the image to the key.
Also, I’m hoping one day this tool will be able to put an iso image on a usb key!! ^^

Also hoping it will one day be able to clone a external bootable harddrive and put an iso bootable image to the external hardrive….
It would be a dream coming true!

You know what would be cool? Instead of a cmd line app, make it into a stdcall DLL that has callbacks to a subroutine or window handle for progress. That would be sweet.
Either way, it’s a great little app and I use it a lot to back up/restore SD cards in my own software.
Thanks for taking the time to create this program and sharing it.
