I'm facing an unexpected problem as the backing up a USB device (once reaches 100%) error message pops up
Error!
Could not read from the USB device (Code: 23)!
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
I'm using 1GB Compact flash drive. What can I do to fix the error?

Most likely the flash drive is corrupt. You could try to repair it by right-clicking the drive in the explorer, choosing the options from the popup menu. The you can select the Tools tab, where the repair program can be started.
