Assume I have an *.imz file: How can I convert it into a corresponding *.img file?
Is the *.imz format standardized for other programs as well?
Is *.imz just a zipped *.img file?
If yes: When I open it with 7zip I found an *.ima and not an *.img file inside.
Whats the difference?

imz is just a zip file. You can rename it to zip and extract it. The file naming is made for compatibility with other tools imz files.

Ok.
But when I unzip it it shows a *.ima file inside and NOT an *.img file.

There is no difference. The content of *.ima and *.img is the same, just the name is different. Just for compatibilty reasons, the images in a zip file are called *.ima, so that other tools can find the files with this extension in the zip file.
