Assume I have a bootable USB flash drive with three partitions.
Two of them are hidden.
Now when I backup the USB flash drive with the USB image tool are then really all partitions backuped including the hidden ones and including the boot sector stuff?
Can I verify this somehow?
Thank you
Peter

Are all (even hidden) partitions backuped?

In device mode, yes.

Re: Are all (even hidden) partitions backuped?
Ok, thank you.
However as I learned "Device Mode" backups save ALL sectors (even the empty ones).
I want to avoid this.
So when I switch to "Volume mode" are all the (hidden) partitions backuped as well (induding the boot sectors)?

No, Volume mode backups only visible partitions. The boot sector is not part of a volume.
