cannot select device mode on USB Image Tool

I am using the USB tool with a kingston USB pen. When USBIT detects the memory pen i am unable to select 'device mode.' volume mode is automaically selected and greyed out. Why is this and how can i change it to 'Device Mode?'

Please heck the FAQ. You need to run the program in Admin mode.
