Currently I'm using USB image tool version 1.59. I have a image with me which I need to restore it and use it as a bootable image via my USB stick.
But, when I restore the image, there is nothing inside my USB stick but the whole volume is set as used and I'm requested to reformat again if I need to use it again.
When I use this USB stick to boot my laptop, there is a message stating no operating system.
The image size is about 1.8GB and i'm using a 16GB USB drive. please help

Re: how to make a bootable USB stick
USB Image Tool can't make an image bootable by itself. The image has to be made from a bootable device. When using USB Image Tool, Backup and Restore have to be made in device mode.

But when using USB Image Tool, I ca't change it from volume mode to device mode. The drop down function to select this is frozen and is greyish. How to enable it to device mode?

You have to run it as administrator (right-click the exe).
