Thanks for a great tool

What kind of license is it under?

Looked in License.txt but it doesn't mention any specifics like GPL and so on.
Want to distribute it togther with a piecce of hardware so would like to mention the license, if possible

It's a slightly modiefied MIT license, no GPL or similar. It mentions all necessary parts. For your concern

"The Software has to be distributed free of charge. Permission is granted to be to distributed the Software together with, but not as a substantial part of, magazines, software compilations or hardware products."

should cover everything.
