7z compression

Post by Darius » Mon Jan 23, 2017 6:29 am

Hi,
I was wondering if you had considered adding support for 7z compressed images?
I have a (mostly empty) SD card which is 70MB when gzip'd but only 14MB when 7zip'd.

Thanks.

7z also handles large files properly :)

For a project, which requires 64/128Gb USB keys, I do not compress with USBIT but I instead use a separate xz compressor to create an "img.xz" file afterward.

Then, I am now wondering if there is a chance USBIT would natively support more compressors in the future.
