USB Image Tool does not work from SUBST drive

Hi there,

I just noticed that USB Image Tool does not work from a SUBST windows drive. The start of the .exe results in an error window "The specified path does not exist". Starting the same .exe from its original drive letter works. As other portable tools rund without problems from the same SUBST drive, I am wondering if this is a restriction of USB Image Tool or some misconfiguration on my local PC.

(Tested with Windows 10 Professional 22H2, USB Image Tool 1.8.5 and 1.90.)

Any Ideas?

Just tested it myself. Seems like it has to do with USB Image Tool requiring elevated rights for hardware access. If run the command prompt for subst as admin as well, it works. On startup USB Image Tool tries to get it's version information from the executable. For that it resolves the path - but maybe that does not work for admin + subst from a different context.
