Hey,
I am pretty sure my SD card is fried after flashing an image of Garlic OS. I can't read the card any longer with Windows or Minitool. The drive disappeared immediately upon completion of the flash.

If it's just the drive letter, that disappeared, it could be be that just the partition is not visible to Windows or has no assigned drive letter. If you don't see the device in partition tool or USB Image Tool itself, the card might be broken indeed. Some devices or cards are faulty and stop working. I have several USB flash drives, that stopped working over years. Even a new one stopped working suddenly after a few weeks. Not everything on the market is top quality or sometimes worse (fraud with wrong size info).
