Device and image are different !

Hello everyone, i'm Cadmio (a new member) and I have some difficulties with the creation of the image of an 8 gb flash drive . I’m using the device mode, save as a imz (zip) and ,to make sure the backup was correct, in the options I selected : verify after backup/restore . The problem is that at the end of the procedure I always get the error message : device and image are different . Am I missing something in the settings ? someone had( and solved) the same problem ? hope you can help me to fix.... Thanks.

Tested my self a 4GiB and 8GiB device with newest version 1.90 and had no error. Which version did you use? Do you have this issue with another drive as well? What options and block size did you use?

I get the same.
If I back up a Raspberry Pi image, then use Pishrink on the image.
When trying to restore I get this message.
If I restore the original none shrinked image it restores and verifies fine.
One of my earlier images still restores fine. I need to do some more testing.

This is when I get the issue.
Backup a Raspberry Pi sdcard.
Use Pishrink script to reduce the size of the image.
Writing back the Pishrinked image to the sdcard.
I can write the original image back to the sdcard without an issue.
The Pishrinked image does appear to flash back and verify when using BalenaEtcher and Raspberry Pi imager.
