Restoring not reliable? Size the first times too large for USB drive

Dear colleagues,

I made an image from my USB Stick with 4 GB, and the first times- I updated that nice imageing tool - and the first 2 times that tool told my that the USB stick is too small...

Then I inserted an 8 GB stick, restored it- without any error messages, and then tried to restore it on the USB stick like before, and it worked...

I could not find any hint, by the way, to decrease the image size per command line, the volume size is 4001 ... KB, the device size is 4009 ... KB.

I don't quite get the problem here. When you made the image from the 4GB stick and tried to restore it, the size error message occured? Did you use device/volume mode in both backup/restore identically?
