   Hi,

   I have lots of small files which take a long time to copy to a stick. When I make a backup of the stick and restore it again, the restoring process is much much faster than to copy the data file by file.
   I tried to convert the files to an img file using ImgBurn and used the "restore" button to flash it to a stick. But then the stick is inaccessible. The written data cannot be read. Is this a problem with the image created with ImgBurn, is the format of the image incompatible or is it a problem of USB Image Tool? Thanks.

   I guess ImgBurn is a CD/DVD recording tool, so the image created by it would be a DVD or CD image. You can't use these images to write them on a flash drive, because it's a different file system. Only special hybrid images (often Linux LiveCD's) can be used on flash drives and CD/DVD.

   Thanks for the reply.
   Is there really no way to create an image for an USB stick without having the stick as source? I know that this is no feature request for this tool, but perhaps there exists another tool that can create images that can be used as source for USB Image Tool. Thanks.

   I think WinImage can create image files from the scratch and allows you to drop files in it.
