I have a 64 GB USB flash drive and installed a WinPE tool with approx 7 GB on it.
It works.
Now I created an *.imz backup in ÄDevice Mode' with USB Image tool v1.81.
Later I wanted to restore this backup on a smaller USB flash drive with only 32GB.
These 32 GB should be sufficient to hold the original content from the 64GB USB flash drive.
Anyway I git an error popup telling me "Device and image are different"
So it is NOT possible to restore an image to a smaller USB flash drive than the original.
Real content size doesn't matter.
Correct?

Yes. Please see FAQ for details (in short - if your partition covers more than 32GB, you might loose data, because it's not guaranteed, that data is stored in sectors at partition end + your partition table holds wrong partition info on the target device).

Hi
Can someone tell me how I can partition a usb flash drive - windows 7 disk management wont let me and other partition tools say it is not possible to have more than 1 partition
It is a corsair flash voyager 16gb and I want 2 partitions, 1 for PE and 1 for other tools/files

Usually I use Minitool Partition Wizard for my tests.
